Hi, my name is Lydia, I am 20 years old and on the 9th March 2015 we found my father dead after suffering from a heart attack in his sleep. We came to understand later that this was a result of Coronary Heart Disease- something which we sadly were incredibly unaware of.
I started this blog up to reach out to those in grief and address the issues and topics of bereavement that may be looked over. Through my writing I want to disect grief in a way that is honest, raw and open. Allowing others to access my truths and observations and hopefully find some comfort in my words.
My father was the first death I had ever known, but through harnessing my emotions and negativities I continue to embrace and look upon my grief and every crazy aspect which comes with it. I hope you can too.
I want to thank you all for your overwhelming responses and kind words. Knowing that my writing may aid someone in their grief journey means the world to me.

Hi Lydia. I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad suddenly as well, on March 18, 2015. I just happened upon your blog as I was looking for grief support groups. I’ve read a few posts so far but your words definitely resonate with me and how I’ve been feeling. I look forward to reading more. Thank you for sharing your story.
